Age of Legend
A paladin, named Elgen, left his training...

...at the Temple of Marr to espouse the belief that love conquers all. On his journey, Elgen had heard of a woman who was a mighty warrior in Faydwer whose heart belonged to another woman. He was intrigued by this notion, as he was a man whose heart could belong to another man. He set out to find her.

He met a young Erudite. The necromancer named Lavender. For most of a season they continued the quest for the mighty, warrior woman. Over this time that passed, the two humans become closer. Finally, they arrived in Faydwer, continuing to ask any who they passed if they had heard of a woman who loved other women. Some shrugged. Some scoffed. While others seemed thoughtful, none of them had.

Making camp one night, the pair attempted to rest. Suddenly, an Orc sprang out of nowhere. It sounded a battle cry and both feared for their lives. Killing the Orc scout didn't stop the wave after wave of Orcs that fell upon them. Elgen was willing to die in the selfless defense of one who he loved. So he threw himself into the deepest of the Orc onslaught. Lavender's arcane spells were exhausted. All seemed lost. But in the corner of his eye, Elgen saw two women leap from the forests and into the fray. One pulled out a long sword and struck down several Orcs in a matter of seconds, while the other woman stood at her side in a meditative stance. When the battle was over, all four had managed to repel the onslaught. This supreme warrior woman introduced herself as the Human paladin, Aeani and her lover as the Barbarian shaman, Shalka. Elgen was pleased that his quest was complete.

The four became fast friends and traveled throughout Norrath. Along their journey, they met a variety of friends who believed, as they did, that love was the answer, regardless of gender. This small band of souls formed their own community. Together, they took the best ideals of Erollisi Marr and combined them with their own beliefs: Love, Justice and Tranquility. The beliefs united them despite all their other diversity and they would eventually become known as the Mystic Alliance.

They wanted to live in a world where everyone loves everyone else and violence does not exist, but they are not naive enough to think that Norrath is that world. The Mystic Alliance hired many mercenary bands over the years in an effort to protect their ideals. From these mercenaries, the community continued to grow and fade with the passing of the Ages. Comprised originally of only followers of Erollisi Marr, they eventually began to attract followers of other deities, even the Plaguebringer. For no matter their race or profession, spread throughout the lands of Norrath were people who believed as they did.

Then all became silent...
